Senegal's coach, Pape Thiaw, unveiled a 28-man squad on Thursday for the World Cup (June 11-July 19). Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Idrissa Gana Gueye are included, while Malang Sarr was not selected.

France's first opponent at the World Cup (June 11 to July 19) has unveiled its squad. On Thursday, Senegal coach Pape Thiaw announced a list of 28 players. Drawn in Group I with France, Norway, and Iraq, the Lions of Teranga will field their usual stalwarts. Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Idrissa Gana Gueye will guide a youthful contingent including Ibrahim Mbaye (PSG), Assane Diao (Como), and Bara Sapoko Ndiaye (Bayern Munich).

The main question concerned the possible inclusion of Malang Sarr, who has had an excellent season with Lens. However, Pape Thiaw opted for other players, including Moustapha Mbow, the Paris FC center-back. He is joined by eight other players who play in Ligue 1: Mory Diaw (Le Havre), Yehvann Diouf (Nice), Antoine Mendy (Nice), Krépin Diatta (Monaco), Lamine Camara (Monaco), Mbaye (PSG), and Bamba Dieng (Lorient).
