Logement à Bingerville : L'État et le secteur privé main dans la main pour le projet « Prestige »

The urban landscape of Bingerville-M'Bato Bouaké is about to change its face. On Saturday, February 28, 2026, a groundbreaking ceremony marked the official launch of a new large-scale real estate project, confirming the commitment of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning to placing access to rooftops at the heart of public action.

A united front for housing

The event brought together a diverse range of stakeholders: administrative authorities, traditional chiefs, religious leaders, and local residents. Representing Minister Moussa Sanogo, Mr. Gbongué Tia Sylvain commended the involvement of local communities and the dynamism of the developer Zoh Henan , noting that housing remains a major challenge for Ivorian households.

"Access to decent housing remains a national priority that requires constant strengthening of the public-private partnership," stressed the ministerial representative.

Legacy and the future: 43,000 homes already delivered

Bridging the gap between history (SICOGI, SOGEFIHA) and the contemporary vision, Mr. Gbongué Tia Sylvain recalled the achievements of the Presidential Program launched in 2011-2012 by President Alassane Ouattara.

  1. Current status: Approximately 43,000 homes built.
  2. Objective: To accelerate the pace in order to fill the persistent gap in the face of exploding demand.

The "Prestige" project in figures

Led by developer Zoh Henan, this ambitious project is spread across a 31-hectare site:

Characteristic Details
Total capacity 619 housing units (affordable and standard)
Overall investment 38 billion FCFA
Achievements to date 120 homes have already been built.
Current phase 82 housing units (funding of 2.2 billion FCFA)

Concrete financial reforms

To turn these projects into reality, the State is relying on the strength of the Housing Bank of Côte d'Ivoire (BHCI) . Its recapitalization now allows it to support both builders and future homeowners.

Mr. Yéo Kibegnary , representing the management of BHCI, reiterated the institution's commitment to supporting "serious and well-structured" developers. For the bank, real estate is not just a financial investment; it is a sustainable driver of social well-being.

This new stage in Bingerville symbolizes the convergence of efforts between the State, banks and the private sector to make the dream of homeownership a reality accessible to every Ivorian household.
