A new peace agreement has been signed in N'Djamena , the Chadian capital, marking a significant step forward in the stabilization process in the Central African Republic (CAR). This agreement binds the Central African government and the Patriotic Movement for Central Africa (MPC) , led by Mahamat Al-Khatim.

Chad's Crucial Role

The signing ceremony was held under the active mediation and guarantee of Chad .

Agreement Supervision: Representing Marshal Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, Head of State of Chad, General Ismaïl Souleymane Lony personally supervised the meeting and the finalization of the document.
Signatory Parties:
The Central African government was represented by General Wanzet Linguissara Henri .
The MPC was represented by its chairman, Mahamat Al-Khatim .

This commitment, under the auspices of Chad, represents a new key step in the ongoing efforts for peace and reconciliation in the Central African Republic. It is seen as an important step towards reducing tensions and restoring lasting stability.
