Burkina : Bobo-Dioulasso : Tragédie sur la voie ferrée, le conducteur percuté par un train succombe à ses blessures
A fatal accident occurred this Thursday on the railway line in Bobo-Dioulasso. A vehicle attempting to cross the tracks was immobilized, just before being violently struck by a train, AIB learned from a family source.
The driver, the sole occupant of the car, was seriously injured in the crash. Firefighters were quickly alerted and intervened to extract him and transport him urgently to the Souro Sanou University Hospital (CHUSS). Unfortunately, despite the efforts of emergency services, the victim succumbed to his injuries a few hours later in hospital.
The police were also on site to conduct a routine inspection. According to witness statements gathered at the scene, the vehicle involved in the collision had been purchased less than ten days previously.
This tragic event is reminiscent of a similar incident that occurred on November 17, 2024, at the SIFA level crossing, near the Konsa police station.
