Burkinabe newspapers this Wednesday highlight two major topics: the financial management of the States' matches and a large seizure of amphetamines .

The expenditures of the states in question before the ALT

The public daily newspaper Sidwaya focuses on the audience of the Minister of Sports, Roand Somda, before the deputies of the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT) this Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

  4. Sports news: In the context of these debates, Sidwaya mentions the qualification of the U17 States for the World Cup, with a 2-0 victory against Tajikistan on November 11, 2025.

Record seizure of amphetamines

In a different vein, the oldest daily newspaper, L'Observateur Paalga , features on its front page an operation carried out by the National Coordination for the Fight Against Fraud.

  1. Nature of the seizure: The operation resulted in the seizure of amphetamines and alcoholic energy drinks in Ouagadougou.
  2. Value and storage location: The value of the amphetamines is estimated at 170 million CFA francs . The fraudsters had stored this large quantity of prohibited products in a residential building, in total violation of regulations governing the pharmaceutical sector.
