Burkina: Ibrahim Traoré reçoit l'ancien président sud-africain Jacob Zuma pour évoquer la "libération de l'Afrique"
Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Faso and Head of State, received former South African President Jacob Zuma in audience at the Koulouba Palace on Monday.
Accompanied by the Burkinabe Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, the former comrade of Nelson Mandela clearly stated the purpose of his visit: to discuss the complete liberation of the African continent.
Following this meeting, Jacob Zuma expressed his admiration for Burkina Faso: "I think this country has done something remarkable . That is why I wanted to meet with the president to exchange ideas with him and determine how we can work together to continue the fight for the emancipation of Africa," he said.
The former South African head of state denounced the attitude of the colonial powers, which he accused of considering African resources as their property. "It's time to say enough is enough, it's over ," he declared, launching a passionate appeal to Africans to take control of their own destiny.
Considering the current dynamics of Burkina Faso as a model for all Africans aspiring to sovereignty and freedom, Jacob Zuma urged the population of the continent and the African diaspora to mobilize all their resources to support and carry out the transition initiated by the country.
