Morocco is poised to make African football history. From December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026 , the Kingdom of Morocco will host the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. A unique historical feature: this is the first time the competition will span two calendar years .

For 29 days, 24 nations will compete in 52 matches played in 6 prestigious host cities.

From December 29th to 31st: The conclusion of the groups

The group stage will conclude on New Year's Eve. The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the next round.

⚡ The Final Phase: The road to victory (2026)

After a short break for the New Year, the pressure mounts with the knockout matches.

  1. Round of 16: From January 3 to 6, 2026.
  2. Quarter-finals: January 9 and 10, 2026.
  3. Semi-finals: January 14, 2026 (in Rabat and Tangier).
  4. Match for 3rd place: January 17, 2026 (Casablanca).
  5. Grand Final: January 18, 2026 (Rabat, 8:00 PM).

🏟️ Cities and Stadiums: An exceptional arrangement

Morocco has mobilized nine venues in six major cities to guarantee a complete spectacle:

  1. Rabat (Capital): Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium (Host of the opening and final).
  2. Casablanca: Mohammed V Stadium.
  3. Tangier: Ibn-Batouta Stadium.
  4. Marrakech: Grand Stadium of Marrakech.
  5. Agadir: Adrar Stadium.
  6. Fez: Fez sports complex.

🌟 The Stakes: A second title for the Atlas Lions?

As the event's organizer, Morocco hopes to repeat Ivory Coast's feat (winners in 2024 on home soil). The Atlas Lions have been chasing a continental title since 1976. With state-of-the-art infrastructure and fervent public support, all the ingredients are in place for a legendary edition.
