The verdict came down this Thursday, January 15th, in Morocco. During the draw for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, Ivory Coast was placed in Group B, a particularly tough group. The Ivorian team will face South Africa, Burkina Faso, and Tanzania.

The competition will be held from March 17 to April 3, 2026, in Morocco. Present on site alongside coach Reynald Pedros, the president of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), Yacine Idriss Diallo, outlined his ambitions. The federation has already announced that preparations will be intensified to allow the Elephants to shine at this major continental football event.
