Centrafrique : Les FACA renforcent leur dispositif sécuritaire dans la Vakaga pour les élections

As part of the Integrated Election Security Plan (PISE), a new contingent of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) was deployed this Tuesday, December 16, 2025, to the Vakaga prefecture.

This strategic operation, aimed at safeguarding the electoral process in the Northeast of the country, benefited from the logistical air support of MINUSCA, essential to overcome the isolation of the region.

Major General Freddy Johnson Sakama, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, emphasized that this deployment is part of a decentralized management approach. Defense zone commanders now have increased resources to coordinate security with the UN peacekeepers.

This strengthening dynamic, which began last week, is gradually being extended to all prefectures to guarantee a peaceful election throughout the national territory.
