Cooperation and Human Rights: The Chadian National Human Rights Commission Welcomes the Ambassador of Morocco and the Bar Association

Coopération et Droits Humains : La CNDH Tchadienne Accueille l'Ambassadeur du Maroc et l'Ordre des Avocats

The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) of Chad, under the leadership of its president, Belngar Larmé Jacques , held a double strategic audience on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He successively received Abdellatif Erroja , Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to Chad, and then the Secretary of the Chadian Bar Association .

🤝 Strengthening the Morocco-Chad Axis for Human Rights

The meeting with the Moroccan ambassador, Abdellatif Erroja, was deemed "very interesting, productive, and promising." Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Moroccan National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) and its Chadian counterpart.

The main topics covered include:

  1. The development and protection of human rights.
  2. The establishment of an advanced partnership in the defense of human rights.
  3. The need for sharing experiences and information to improve working methods and the efficiency of both institutions.

Ambassador Erroja emphasized the crucial role of national human rights bodies on both the national and international stages. To further this ambition, he announced an upcoming meeting between the presidents of the two national commissions.

⚖️ The Bar Association and the CNDH: Towards a Lasting Partnership

Following the renewal of its board at the end of October, the Chadian Bar Association undertook a series of institutional visits, including one to the CNDH.

The Secretary of the Bar Association emphasized the complementary nature of the missions between the Bar and the CNDH, in particular:

  1. The defense of human rights.
  2. The promotion of justice.
  3. The protection of fundamental freedoms.

Describing the meeting with the president of the CNDH as "rich in exchanges", he reaffirmed the Bar Association's commitment to maintaining a permanent dialogue with the Commission in order to "work together and look in the same direction", thus paving the way for a lasting institutional partnership.
