On the sidelines of the second edition of the African Urban Forum (AUF2), the Minister of Housing, Mays Mouissi , met this Wednesday, April 7, 2026, with Oumar Sylla .

UN-Habitat Regional Director for Africa. This strategic meeting laid the groundwork for increased collaboration on major urban issues.

The discussions focused primarily on:

Land governance and the digitalization of services.
Housing financing mechanisms.
The development of smart cities in Africa.

The Minister took this opportunity to highlight Gabon's reforms aimed at making housing more accessible. He reiterated Gabon's commitment to building an urban development model that is inclusive, sustainable, and secure .
