Crise anglophone au Cameroun : Des violences intercommunautaires éclatent après l'assassinat de civils Mbororos à Wowo (Donga Mantung)
Three (03) members of the Mbororo community, including a 12-year-old child, were killed by separatists on Friday, December 12, 2025, in Wowo, in the commune of Ndu, Donga Mantung department. The victims were herders.
This act of violence quickly escalated into bloody reprisals. Members of the Bororo community subsequently slit the throats of three indigenous people , dramatically exacerbating already high tensions in the area.
This surge in intercommunal violence is part of the devastating Anglophone crisis that has plagued Cameroon for several years. The conflict, pitting government forces against separatist groups demanding independence for the Anglophone regions, continues to generate targeted attacks, plunging civilians into increasing insecurity.
Such events only exacerbate the humanitarian crisis and deepen mistrust between different communities . The tragedy of Wowo highlights the vicious cycle of violence and the absolute urgency of protecting innocent lives trapped in this conflict.
