The Ghanaian legal community is in mourning. Sarah Araba Tettey, a brilliant 26-year-old lawyer, tragically died Wednesday evening after suffering a cardiac arrest while celebrating Ghana's victory over Panama.

The facts

The tragedy occurred in a private hostel (the Standard Hostel ) located in Bomso, near Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Sarah Araba Tettey was attending a meeting with friends there.

The incident: At the final whistle, as the crowd erupted in joy, the young woman suddenly collapsed.
Emergency services: She was rushed to the university hospital ( Tech Hospital ) and taken into the care of the medical staff. Despite an intensive cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) attempt lasting nearly 45 minutes, she unfortunately had to be pronounced dead.

Note: The exact cause of cardiac arrest has not yet been officially released by the family or medical authorities. His body has been transferred to the morgue at the KNUST medical school.

A tribute to a promising future

This sudden disappearance caused a huge wave of shock among his relatives and peers.

Recently admitted to the Ghana Bar, Sarah Araba Tettey practiced at the firm O & A Legal Consult . A graduate of the KNUST Faculty of Law, she was described by her colleagues and former classmates as a talented, rigorous lawyer with a promising career ahead of her.
