Enlèvement massif au Nigeria : au moins 25 écolières kidnappées par des "bandits" dans l'État de Kebbi
Armed men stormed a state-run boarding school in Kebbi State, northwestern Nigeria, abducting dozens of girls in a pre-dawn attack, local police said. The assault, carried out by individuals suspected of being heavily armed bandits, also left a school staff member dead.
The incident occurred early Monday morning at Maga Public Girls' Secondary School , located in the Wasagu/Danko Local Government Area.
According to local police spokesman Nafiu Abubakar Kotakoshi, the attackers scaled the school fence and "abducted at least 25 students from their dormitory to an unknown location." The spokesman stated at a press conference that the death toll could rise, as other girls may be missing.
This attack adds to a series of mass kidnappings targeting schools in northern Nigeria, carried out by criminal groups demanding ransoms.
