Gabon : Le Président de la République reçoit une délégation de la BAD
The President of the Republic, Head of State, Head of Government, His Excellency Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema met today at the Palais Rénovation with a delegation from the African Development Bank (ADB), led by Mrs. Marie-Laure Akin, Olugbadé, Senior Vice-President of the said structure.
This visit is part of a high-level dialogue mission with the President of the Republic. It was an opportunity for the AfDB Representative to deliver a message from His Excellency Sidi Ould Tah, President of the institution, who reaffirmed the group's commitment to supporting Vision 50 of the recently developed National Growth and Development Plan, and to consolidating this collaboration, which is based on solid trust.
It is worth noting that the AfDB and Gabon have enjoyed good relations for a long time. This collaboration is reflected in a portfolio of transactions in several sectors such as water, energy, sanitation, and infrastructure, which have had a tangible impact on the lives of Gabonese people.
Issues relating to youth employment and the development of other sectors such as agriculture were also discussed during this interview. These include, for example, the decree cancelling the import of broiler chickens in early 2027, and the possibility of developing a project in the poultry sector that could contribute to producing chicken in Gabon while involving young women in the production chain.
In addition, the Head of State and his guests reviewed the cooperation and commitments made, the mobilization and acceleration of work on major projects such as the construction of the Ndendé-Doussala road, among others.
