Gabon/Rentrée scolaire à Libreville : les inspecteurs sur le terrain pour accompagner la reprise
Since Monday, February 3, national education inspectors have been visiting schools in Libreville. This mission, deployed on the instructions of the Minister of State, aims to oversee the effective return of students and teachers after several weeks of interruption.
Despite the call to continue the strike launched last Saturday by the "SOS Education" collective, a gradual return to classes is being observed. Classes have resumed in emblematic institutions such as the Léon-Mba and Paul Indjendjet-Gondjout high schools and the Nelson-Mandela middle school.
The General Inspectorate of Services (IGS) emphasizes the educational nature of this field visit. "This is not a mission of repression, but of support," explained Parfait Nguema Nseng, inspector of technical education. The objective is to guide the teams and assess the educational situation during this mission, scheduled to last 12 days. Authorities are now calling on parents to mobilize and encourage the students' return.
