Guinée : une femme égorgée pour sa moto par un couple qu’elle hébergeait
A crime of rare cruelty shook the city of Kindia on the night of Friday to Saturday, October 25, 2025. The victim, Maïmouna Diallo, a market gardening technician in her fifties, was found with her throat cut in her room at the civil servants' complex in Foulayah (sub-prefecture of Damakania).
According to the first elements of the investigation, the victim, originally from Porédaka (Mamou) and employed at the Foulayah Agronomic Research Center (CRAF), had accommodated in a room adjoining hers a couple of Sierra Leonean nationality, supposedly doing work for her.
Premeditated murder for motorcycle theft
The motive for the crime was the theft of the motorcycle that Maïmouna Diallo had just received from her service.
Fatoumata Moumini Diallo, the victim's daughter, gave a poignant testimony: "Mother had prepared dinner. They ate together before going to bed. Later that night, they woke her up to execute her because of her motorcycle."
The premeditation seems to be confirmed by an incident that occurred during the day: the young Sierra Leonean allegedly asked the victim to put fuel in the motorcycle. "She gave him 60,000 GNF to buy gasoline. After filling it up, he brought the motorcycle back, then they waited until nightfall to carry out the act," the girl recounts.
The couple allegedly first beat Maïmouna Diallo with a pestle before slitting her throat. They then fled with the victim's motorcycle and phone.
The family solemnly calls on the authorities to mobilize all means to find and bring to justice the perpetrators of this atrocious act. The security services have opened an investigation to shed light on this crime, which has once again plunged Kindia into dismay.
