Le chef de la junte en Guinée officiellement candidat à la présidentielle du 28 décembre
The head of the junta in Guinea, General Mamadi Doumbouya, is officially a candidate in the presidential election of December 28 after submitting his candidacy file to the Supreme Court on Monday for this election intended to restore constitutional order after a coup in 2021, an AFP journalist observed.
Mamadi Doumbouya has ruled this West African country with an iron fist since taking power in 2021. His candidacy, called for by his relatives for months, was expected, despite his initial promise to hand power back to civilians.
