Le Président Touadéra à Kinshasa pour le 9e Sommet de la CIRGL

The Central African President, Faustin Archange Touadéra , arrived in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) , on Saturday, November 15, 2025, to participate in the 9th Summit of Heads of State of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) .

The major event took place at the People's Palace in Kinshasa. This summit is part of the ongoing search for peace and stability in the region.

Theme and Objective

The 9th ICGLR Summit is placed under the central theme:

"Consolidating peace and security for sustainable development in the Great Lakes Region"

Reception of the Central African Head of State

Upon his arrival at N'Djili International Airport , President Touadéra and his delegation were welcomed by the Congolese Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Guillaume Ngefa Atondoko .

He also received a warm welcome from the Central African community in the DRC, including:

The Central African diplomatic corps ;
Central African Army officers currently in training in Kinshasa;
The students and the Central African community residing there.
