FONCTION PUBLIQUE - Le service minimum s’impose

Unions in several ministries are currently on strike.

In several administrative offices, minimum service has been introduced to ensure the operation of services despite some disruptions. Currently, unions from various ministries, such as the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Labor Inspectors, are on strike, reducing the number of available staff. In some offices, working hours have been limited to a few hours.

This measure allows citizens to maintain access to essential services, while ensuring that certain priority administrative operations are not interrupted. "We are doing everything possible to ensure that users can continue to carry out their important procedures, even if the available staff is limited," said an official from Fokontany Andraisoro yesterday.

Compromise

Furthermore, the number of citizens coming to obtain administrative documents, such as residence certificates, currently remains low.

For users, this situation often translates into longer delays and longer queues. "I had to wait over an hour to submit my ID card renewal application," says Rajaonarison. "But at least the service is available and we can complete our procedures," he adds.

The unions point out that the minimum service represents a necessary compromise between demands and the continuity of public services. They insist that this measure helps avoid a total paralysis of administrations while respecting workers' rights.
