Madagascar/Université de Toamasina : Suspension des cours pour un mois après le passage de Gezani
The Barikadimy campus is healing its wounds. Following the devastation caused by Cyclone Gezani , the scientific council of the University of Toamasina has decided to suspend teaching activities for a period of four weeks , effective from February 16.

The Minister of Higher Education, Ndaohialy Manda-Vy Ravonimanantsoa , went to the site on February 16 to coordinate the emergency response.
The ministry has defined a clear roadmap to enable a rapid and safe recovery. Priority areas include:
"The objective is to guarantee the continuity of the academic year and the safety of students." — Ministry statement.
Although classes are suspended, the university remains flexible. In order not to penalize the 2024-2025 graduating classes, exams and thesis defenses may be maintained on a case-by-case basis, depending on the logistical capacity of each faculty.
