Mali : La résidence du féticheur Sinayoko prise pour cible après l'élimination face au Sénégal
The defeat of Mali's Eagles (0-1) against Senegal on Friday, January 9, 2026, sparked outrage in Bamako. Targeted by public anger, the renowned traditional healer Karamoko Sinayoko had his residence surrounded by supporters demanding answers. Thanks to a swift intervention, the police were able to secure the area before the crowd arrived. 
Clashes broke out, marked by stone-throwing at security forces, who were forced to use force to disperse the demonstrators. Disappointed supporters issued an ultimatum to the traditional healer, demanding he leave the country. As a reminder, Sinayoko had guaranteed Mali's victory at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. He had reportedly already received 3 million CFA francs for his "services," with a bonus of 150 million CFA francs promised in the event of success.
