Baggage control agent

II- ATTRIBUTIONS

1. Under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager, the Baggage Screening Agent checks the weights of baggage on flights departing, arriving and in transit at the airport, compares them with the weights indicated on the passenger manifests and produces a control report which is sent to the General Management and to all stopovers.
2. The Baggage Screening Agent assists the Internal Audit department in carrying out screening activities.
3. This responsibility includes performing appropriate control procedures, collecting sufficient and appropriate evidence for findings, adequately documenting work, and assisting in the preparation of reports reflecting the results of the work performed.
4. The Baggage Screening Agent is supervised by the Internal Audit Department staff and will be required to perform any other tasks assigned to him/her by the Internal Audit Department staff.

III- QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

1. BAC +2;
2. Prior control experience desirable and be aged 28 or over;
3. Integrity, honesty, discipline, reliability, consistency;
4. Ability to follow instructions, respect and willingness to learn;
5. Healthy, physically strong and resilient;
6. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organizational skills;
7. Ability to work well in a team and maintain confidentiality of information;
8. Familiarity with control concepts;
9. Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English, with the ability to work effectively in a bilingual environment and make presentations to management;
10. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop trusting relationships with different functions across the Company;
11. Experience in executing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

I- POSITION 2: Reservations & Ticketing Agents for Yaounde

II- MAIN TASKS

1. Ensure sales to Corporates and individuals and reference them in the database
2. Answer phone calls and respond to customer emails with accurate information
3. Ensure a satisfactory level of customer service at all times by email, telephone or by receiving them physically.
4. Ensure sales to ASKY Club members and build loyalty
5. Prepare daily reports
6. Take care of customers and call them in case of irregularities
7. Provide sales references to the CTO/ATO Supervisor and Sales Manager:

– Carry out reconciliation of coupons with cash receipts from sales

– Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports

– Promote and register customers in ASKY club

– Assist the switchboard operator by receiving calls from customers

– Deal with assigned client companies and maintain detailed sales records

III- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Minimum BAC diploma

– Mastery of SITA

– Ticketing / Travel and tourism / Sales certificate

– IATA / FUAAV qualifications (preferred, but not essential)

– Minimum 3 years experience in a similar ticketing position

– Age between 25 – 35 years
