📋 Job Details
- Location: Addis Ababa, with frequent travel to Tselemti and Dima.
- Contract type: 1-year fixed-term contract (National contract).
- Supervisor: ICLA Project Coordinator.
- Supervision: Oversight of community outreach workers.
🚀 Your Main Missions
Under the responsibility of the Project Coordinator, you will ensure the daily implementation of legal activities in the areas of Mai-tsebri, Tselemti and Dima.
1. Legal Expertise and Support:
- Providing accurate legal information and advice on LCD (Civil Documents) and HLP (Housing, Land and Property) topics.
- Facilitate training and awareness sessions for beneficiaries.
- Helping vulnerable people to resolve their disputes independently and effectively.
2. Project Management and Monitoring:
- Develop annual work plans and participate in field evaluations.
- Ensure rigorous archiving of documents and produce high-quality progress reports.
- Collaborate closely with local authorities and humanitarian partners.
3. Continuous Improvement:
- To offer innovative solutions to better reach the most vulnerable populations.
- Ensure strict adherence to NRC operational procedures (SOPs).
🎓 Desired Profile
Academic qualifications and experience:
- University degree: Law, Political Science, Sociology or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a similar role.
- Languages: Fluency in Amharic and English (spoken and written) is essential.
- Knowledge: Mastery of humanitarian principles and understanding of the issues in contested areas.
Skills and Personal Qualities:
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
- Diplomacy, proactivity and the ability to work under pressure in complex environments.
