Réparations en RCA : La CPI et la CASCIDHO au chevet des victimes au Tchad
Just over a year after the landmark verdict of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on February 24, 2025, the focus is now on consultations on the ground. A joint mission, comprising lawyers from the Court and representatives from CASCIDHO , is currently conducting a series of consultations in the Moyen-Chari province, in southern Chad.
The objective of this trip is clear: to establish a direct link between international justice and those who have suffered the horrors of the conflict in the Central African Republic (CAR). The president of CASCIDHO, Mahamat Dingamdjibaye , stated during a press briefing on March 8, 2026, in Sarh that the mission visited the following sites:

“The lawyers explained the genesis of the verdict and took good note of the concerns expressed. The exchanges were particularly constructive,” Mahamat Dingamdjibaye emphasized.
While a major step has been taken with the court decision, the path to effective compensation remains complex. The findings of this mission will be submitted to the judges of the ICC to guide the next procedural steps.
The president of CASCIDHO expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of the Chadian authorities while also calling for calm and resilience:
