Saisie de Drogue au Sénégal : Vaste Coup de Filet contre le Trafic Illicite
The Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS) of Senegal has just scored a decisive point in the fight against drug trafficking by announcing two (2) important seizures.
These operations, carried out by the departmental branch of the OCRTIS in Arlit on November 17, 2025, resulted in the confiscation of significant quantities of narcotics and the arrest of several individuals, including members of the Defense and Security Forces.
The first operation took place at a residence in the Boukoki 1 neighborhood of Arlit. The operation resulted in the arrest of four (4) individuals , three (3) of whom were members of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) . They are all implicated in high-risk drug trafficking.

The involvement of security forces agents in this network underlines the seriousness and extent of the organized crime that the OCRTIS is fighting.
On the same day and in the same area, a second seizure was carried out, this time on a goods transport vehicle arriving from Maradi.
Officers discovered 12.308 kg of cannabis divided into fourteen (14) bricks. The narcotics were cleverly concealed in a specially designed compartment under the chassis of the truck (model TLM-DAF).
Two (02) other individuals were arrested for high-risk drug trafficking during this operation. The vehicle used to transport the drugs was immediately impounded.
In total, this raid represents a seizure of 15.958 kg of cannabis and the arrest of six (06) people .
Faced with the continued existence of these networks, the Arlit branch of the OCRTIS (Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking) reiterates its appeal to the public. It encourages citizens to be extra vigilant and to actively cooperate with law enforcement to ensure greater public safety.
