Santé : le Mali lance un chantier pharaonique de 15 hôpitaux pour son Programme Présidentiel d'Urgence
Mali launched a massive health modernization project on November 10, 2025. General Assimi GOÏTA, President of the Transition, officially marked the start of the work by laying the foundation stone of the Reference Health Center (CSREF) of the 1st Arrondissement of Bamako.
This project, called the Presidential Emergency Hospital Program , puts into practice the commitments made during the General Health Conference in December 2024, by focusing on improving the accessibility and quality of care for all Malians.
The Minister of Health and Social Development, Colonel-Major Assa Badiallo Touré, warmly welcomed the Head of State's unwavering support. She affirmed that this action reflected an steadfast commitment to providing Mali with modern infrastructure and sustainably strengthening its healthcare system.
Welcomed by an enthusiastic and grateful crowd, the Head of State testified to the importance of this project, which revolves around 15 new infrastructures :

The projects will be executed concurrently and fully funded from the national budget .

In conclusion, Minister Assa Badiallo Touré emphasized the significance of this initiative: "These various infrastructures... will be symbols and testimonies of the Government's clear commitment to bringing quality healthcare closer to the population . They will help reduce evacuations and relieve pressure on existing hospital facilities ."
