Border security: Chad and the Central African Republic reinforce their presence in Sido

Sécurité frontalière : Le Tchad et la RCA renforcent leur dispositif à Sido

In a joint effort to stabilize their border area, Chadian and Central African authorities inaugurated two new checkpoints in the town of Sido on February 19, 2025. This strategic deployment of the Joint Force aims to secure local populations and facilitate trade between the two nations.

Key points of the deployment:

Location: Two operational sectors set up on either side of the border (Chad and CAR).
Command: Captain Paoulis Charly Sammuel has been appointed to head the Kabo sector (CAR).
Objective: 24/7 surveillance to guarantee the free movement of goods and people.

During his field visit, Brigadier General Moubarak Abakar Nassour , commander of the Joint Force, emphasized the importance of synergy between units. He urged his troops to maintain discipline and reiterated that the vigilance of the civilian population remains the essential pillar in the fight against insecurity.
