Semi-marathon de Paris 2026 : Kennedy Kimutai entre dans l'histoire
The Parisian asphalt vibrated this Sunday , March 8, 2026. Under a spring sky, the world's elite in long-distance running had gathered for an edition that will remain etched in the annals of the competition.
It's an unprecedented feat: for the first time in the event's history, an athlete has managed to retain their title. Already crowned champion in 2025, Kenyan Kennedy Kimutai repeated his performance, winning with a solid time of 1 hour, 0 minutes, and 10 seconds .
Despite the pressure from the competition, Kimutai managed his race from start to finish to confirm his status as the undisputed master of the distance in the French capital.
The spectacle didn't end there. On the women's side, Ethiopian Ftaw Zeray literally dominated the race. Not content with winning by a comfortable margin, she shattered the event record by crossing the finish line in 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 10 seconds .
Note: Ftaw Zeray officially becomes the fastest woman in the history of the Paris half marathon.
These results underscore, once again, the dominance of highland runners on the world stage. Between Kimutai's historic double and Zeray's stratospheric record, African athletics delivered a masterful demonstration of strength over the 21.1 km Parisian course.
