Senegalese Prime Minister Ahmadou Al Aminou Lo chaired a crucial interministerial council meeting on Thursday, June 18, 2026, dedicated to the organization of end-of-year exams. To ensure the smooth running of the exams throughout the country, the Prime Minister adopted 17 strategic measures , covering the short, medium, and long term.

1. Session 2026: Security, Inclusion and Digitalization

For the current session, the focus is on immediate effectiveness, combating fraud, and accessibility.

Logistics and the fight against fraud

1. Total security: Inter-ministerial coordination (Army, Interior, Education) to protect the process, from the design of the tests to their delivery.
2. Comfort of the centers: Guarantee of water supply, stable Internet connection, anti-loading plan and preventive flood management.
3. War on cheating: Strict ban on phones and connected devices. A secure control and deposit system will be installed at the entrance of the centers.

Inclusion and equity

1. Candidates without civil status: Students blocked for administrative reasons beyond their control will exceptionally be able to take the Baccalaureate during the 2026 replacement session .
2. Disability support: Systematic adaptation of tests (braille for the blind, enlarged texts for the visually impaired), application of one-third teaching time and adaptation of accessibility of centers.

Actor compensation

1. Digital payment: Finalization of the operating procedure to ensure the disbursement of advances and the full payment of allowances to examiners, markers, and invigilators as soon as the exams are completed. The national education budget is now protected.
