Tchad : Disparition tragique du Général Issa Abderamane Kendji, le « Lion de la Conservation »
The environmental protection community is in mourning. General Issa Abderamane Kendji, Commander of the Special Anti-Poaching Group (GSLA), lost his life last night in a road accident while returning from a field mission. The Minister of the Environment paid a moving tribute to a man who was much more than a soldier: a true bulwark for Chadian biodiversity.
An elite soldier dedicated to nature's preservation. Renowned for his fearlessness and exemplary leadership, General Kendji devoted his career to the defense of natural heritage. Under his command, the GSLA became a key player in the fight against poaching, resolutely protecting endangered species and ensuring the security of protected areas.
A huge void for the country. For the government and the park rangers, this loss is a profound shock. Beyond the human loss, a pillar of the national conservation strategy has been lost. The Minister offered his condolences to the family of the distinguished deceased and to his comrades-in-arms, while emphasizing that his sacrifice will not be in vain.
Continuing the fight: The challenge now is to maintain the momentum initiated by the General. Between troop cohesion and the pursuit of strategic partnerships, particularly with African Parks , Kendji's legacy will serve as a compass to intensify the protection of Chad's natural resources.
