Tragédie : Un jeune footballeur sénégalais enlevé puis tué au Ghana
It's a shocking story that has shaken the Senegalese sports world and the town of Yeumbeul. Young goalkeeper Cheikh Touré, a resident of the Esprit Foot academy, tragically lost his life after being kidnapped in Ghana, where he had traveled for what he believed were football trials.
According to sources close to the victim, the young player was allegedly trapped by his captors, who promised him a sporting opportunity abroad. Once there, he was kidnapped, and his tormentors then demanded a ransom from his family to secure his release.
Unfortunately, his relatives, unable to raise the required sum, were unable to meet the criminals' demands. The latter then carried out their threat, taking the life of young Cheikh Touré in atrocious conditions. In an act of unimaginable cruelty, they even sent photos of his lifeless body to his mother, according to reports.
This tragedy plunges the family of the deceased, his teammates, and the entire Yeumbeul community into immense sadness. Cheikh Touré was described as a talented, hardworking, and promising young man, dreaming of a professional career in football.
