Côte d’Ivoire : L’ANADER mise sur les drones pour révolutionner le conseil agricole
The modernization of Ivorian agriculture has reached a new milestone. From December 16 to 20, 2025, the National Agency for Rural Development Support ( ANADER ), in collaboration with the expert firm Investiv , trained 30 agents in piloting agricultural drones. This session, combining theory in Bingerville and practical training at the VITIB in Grand-Bassam, aims to equip technicians with cutting-edge tools to optimize crop yields and protection.
Drones: An Ally Against Agricultural Pests. For Dr. Sidiki Cissé, Director General of ANADER, this technology is a direct response to phytosanitary challenges. "Drones are a tool to help fight pests and manage treatments," he explained, emphasizing the importance for technicians to master these tools to better serve rural communities. The ambition is, in fact, to eventually train all 1,500 of the agency's staff.
Aboubacar Karim, CEO of Investiv, points out that drones offer more than just processing: they enable precise mapping, soil analysis, and contribute to the fight against deforestation. This versatility is praised by beneficiaries, such as Ms. Coulibaly Mawa Béatrice, who is now able to pilot drones and conduct aerial surveys in the field.
The next challenge, however, remains logistical: ensuring the effective deployment of this equipment to trained agents to transform this technological trial into a lasting success.
