SIAM 2026 : La Côte d’Ivoire déploie son offensive diplomatique et agricole à Meknès

At the 18th International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM) , the National Chamber of Agriculture of Côte d'Ivoire (CNACI) is positioning itself as a key player. Under the leadership of its president, Sindou Bamba , the Ivorian delegation is forging numerous strategic agreements to propel national agriculture onto the international stage.

Issues of sovereignty and resilience

At the heart of the discussions in Meknes, the CNACI (National Confederation of Chambers of Agriculture of Côte d'Ivoire) places food sovereignty and climate adaptation at the top of its priorities. The institutional discussions focus on:

  1. Local processing of products.
  2. The structuring of production chains.
  3. The strategic development of livestock farming.

High-level technical partnerships

The delegation has undertaken in-depth work with leading institutions, such as the Moroccan Confederation of Agriculture (COMADER) and the International Center for Agricultural Research (ICARDA) . The areas of collaboration target critical issues for Ivorian producers:

  1. Biological innovation: Access to resilient seeds.
  2. Resource management: Soil fertility and sustainable water management.
  3. Financial support: Implementation of financing mechanisms adapted to the rural world.

The bet on mechanization

A major aspect of this mission concerns technical modernization . The CNACI is actively seeking solutions from agricultural machinery manufacturers to identify options tailored to family farms . The objective is twofold: to obtain robust equipment and to guarantee ongoing maintenance and technical training.

A popular Ivorian stand

The Ivorian pavilion is constantly busy, attracting investors and economic operators drawn to the region's potential. This participation, which falls under the overall theme of "Sustainability of Animal Production and Food Security" , will continue in Meknes until April 28, 2026 .
