Air Côte d’Ivoire ciblée par une cyberattaque, la compagnie rassure sur ses opérations
The national airline Air Côte d'Ivoire has been targeted by a cyberattack claimed by the ransomware group InC Ransom , which claims to hold more than 205 gigabytes of data on its dark web site.
In a statement, the company confirmed the incident, indicating that the situation is contained and that the relevant authorities have been notified . It also assured that the attack is not affecting flight schedules or route operations .
According to cybersecurity specialists, this group is known to use the double extortion technique, which involves exfiltrating data before threatening to publish it in order to obtain a ransom.
If air operations continue as normal, the issues now focus on the nature of the potentially compromised data and the impact on image and information protection.
This attack illustrates the rise of cyber threats targeting large companies in Africa, particularly in strategic sectors such as air transport.
