Mise au point de la FIF concernant l’incident survenu à Wilmington
The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) wishes to reassure all supporters of the Elephants, the media and the public following the information relayed concerning an incident which occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Wilmington Hospital in ChristianaCare, in the State of Delaware.
The Ivorian Football Federation wishes to clarify that the national team has not been affected in any way by this incident. It further informs the public that the national team, its staff, and its entire delegation are staying in a secure environment and continuing their activities as normal.
The FIF wishes to thank FIFA, the American authorities and the various security services mobilized around the competition.
The Ivorian delegation remains fully focused on its preparation and the continuation of its World Cup campaign.
