The new President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, Sidi Ould Tah , was received in audience by the Ivorian Prime Minister, Robert Beugré Mambé , on Thursday, February 19, 2026. This meeting marked a key step in consolidating relations between the financial institution and Côte d'Ivoire.

An exemplary portfolio

During this exchange, Mr. Ould Tah praised the excellence of the current partnership. According to him, the portfolio of projects in Côte d'Ivoire is distinguished by:

1. Exceptional performance : rigorous monitoring and tangible results.
2. Strong diversification : affecting strategic sectors such as agriculture, energy and infrastructure.

Focus on the National Development Plan (NDP)

One of the major points of the meeting concerned the 2026-2030 National Development Plan . The AfDB officially confirmed that it will play a leading role in mobilizing the financing necessary for the implementation of this ambitious plan.

"We are very reassured about the quality of the partnership and also about the prospects for the years to come," said Akinwumi Adesina's successor.

Coordination of Arab funds

The AfDB President also addressed the monitoring of financial commitments made by Arab development funds in January 2026. The AfDB is now positioning itself as the coordinator for:

1. Coordinate the practical implementation of this funding.
2. To ensure the swift completion of cases for the benefit of Ivorian development.
