Ivorian technological innovation has reached a new milestone. On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Karim Fagbohim, a young Ivorian entrepreneur based in the United States and founder of Kayode Technologies , presented a cutting-edge robotics project to Djibril Ouattara, Minister of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation.

Accompanied by Inza Camara, Consul General of Ivory Coast in New York, the promoter unveiled a prototype of an autonomous robot designed to revolutionize delivery and dynamic display services in Abidjan.

A hybrid, green and connected technology

Developed in the United States, this intelligent robot combines several strategic features to address modern urban challenges:

1. Autonomous logistics: Capable of ensuring deliveries in a fully autonomous or semi-autonomous manner.
2. Dynamic display: Equipped with integrated screens for broadcasting digital and advertising content.
3. Eco-friendly energy: Powered by an electric battery supported by solar panels.
4. Secure control: Remotely supervised by operators via a camera system offering a complete 360-degree view.

Practical applications for the daily lives of Ivorians

To test the effectiveness of these machines, the founder proposes launching pilot programs in strategic areas of Abidjan (such as Plateau, Zone 4, or Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport). The potential uses are numerous:

1. The distribution of mail and administrative documents within ministries and companies.
2. Advertising and informational displays in shopping centers.
3. The provision of ultra-local proximity services in urban areas.

Focus on job creation and youth training

Beyond the technological feat, this project aims to be a powerful driver of economic inclusion. Karim Fagbohim's ambition is to train Ivorian youth in software, digital tools, and teleoperation processes, thus enabling local young people to remotely control these robots from Côte d'Ivoire.

Impressed by the initiative, Minister Djibril Ouattara praised the patriotism and commitment of the diaspora to the country's development. To realize this vision, he strongly encouraged the establishment of a Kayode Technologies operations center at the Village of Information Technology and Biotechnology (VITIB) in Grand-Bassam.

This strategic location will allow this future technology to be directly connected to Ivorian students and young graduates in robotics, automation and mechanics, thus laying the foundations for a true local technological ecosystem.
