The General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation and a culture of merit. At the 24th edition of its Excellence Awards, held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire, the institution highlighted the standardized electronic invoice , presented as an essential tool for modernizing the economy and securing commercial transactions.

The event took place under the chairmanship of Adama Coulibaly, Minister of Economy, Finance and Budget, and under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister, Téné Birahima Ouattara, represented for the occasion by Nialé Kaba, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Electronic invoicing at the heart of the tax strategy

Speaking on behalf of the ceremony's patron, Ms. Nialé Kaba warmly praised the DGI's impact on national development through the mobilization of public resources (infrastructure, state projects, social services). She specifically outlined the ambitions related to the digital transition:

"Standardized electronic invoicing will enhance transparency, combat tax fraud, and contribute to a sustainable increase in our country's domestic resources."

Cultivating excellence within the administration

For Minister Adama Coulibaly, this annual award reflects a strong political will: to build an ever more robust and efficient tax administration. Addressing the winners directly, he congratulated them for distinguishing themselves among nearly 7,000 agents, urging them to remain models of rigor and duty for their colleagues.

The Director General of Taxes, Ouattara Sié Abou, followed suit by recalling that this distinction celebrates "work well done, rigor, professionalism and the permanent quest for excellence", inviting the winners to pass on their know-how.

The winners of the 2026 edition

The ceremony recognized several figures and departments within the DGI:

1. Grand Prize 2026 for Best DGI Agent & Best Tax Control Agent : Ms. Sanon née Yabo Badjo Colette (Financial Services Administrator and Auditor at the National Tax Audit Directorate) .
2. Special prize : Amani Konan Edouard.
3. Honorary prize : Kouadio Gbongbo André (Prefect out of grade) .

Numerous other awards were also presented to the most deserving agents and services of the year.
