L’Ambassadeur Ibrahima Touré promeut l’influence africaine à Louisiana State University
From April 21 to 24, 2026, the Ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire to the United States, His Excellency Ibrahima Touré , traveled to Louisiana for a strategic working mission. Invited by the Office of Global Engagement at Louisiana State University (LSU) , the diplomat placed the African continent at the heart of American academic exchanges.
As guest of honor, the ambassador inaugurated a series of conferences dedicated to Francophone Africa. During his address, entitled "Diplomacy in Action: A Conversation with HE Ibrahima Touré on Africa's Global Impact," he elaborated on several key points:
Ibrahima Touré used this platform to highlight Côte d'Ivoire as a key regional hub. Under the leadership of President Alassane Ouattara , the country is strengthening its strategic ties with the United States thanks to a diversified economy that is attractive to investors.
The diplomat's analysis was enthusiastically received by university authorities and students in the French studies department, who praised the clarity of his vision.
Beyond the conference, this mission paved the way for concrete collaboration between Côte d'Ivoire and LSU. According to the press release from the Ivorian embassy published on Monday, April 27, the discussions focused on two main areas:
