Côte d’Ivoire : Le gouvernement mise sur 9 pôles régionaux pour transformer l'économie d'ici 2030
At the Investors' Day event held at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire, the Minister of Planning and Development, Souleymane Diarrassouba, unveiled Côte d'Ivoire's economic roadmap for the next five years. At the heart of this strategy is the acceleration of the country's structural transformation through ambitious industrial decentralization.
To stimulate growth, the government plans to leverage the specific strengths of each region. This vision translates into two major initiatives:
"The prospect is the establishment of nine economic hubs in Ivory Coast and the construction of nine agro-industrial hubs distributed throughout the national territory, based on the strengths of our different regions," Souleymane Diarrassouba specified.
This approach aims to establish local industrialization , boost the local processing of raw materials, maximize added value and create sustainable jobs outside the capital.
As part of the new National Development Plan (PND 2026-2030), the minister also announced major projects to strengthen the agricultural sector:
This vast transformation plan, which requires investments of tens of trillions of CFA francs, will depend heavily on businesses. The 2026-2030 National Development Plan (PND) anticipates that more than 70% of investments will come from the private sector .
The minister therefore invited national and international operators to take the next step by moving "from intentions to concrete commitments" .
To facilitate the implementation of these projects, Souleymane Diarrassouba assured that the State will deploy simplified and strengthened support through three major levers:
