Filière mangue en Côte d’Ivoire : un plan de 1,6 milliard FCFA pour conquérir 2026

Meeting in Ordinary General Assembly on March 11, 2026 in Korhogo, stakeholders in the mango sector, united within Inter-Mangue , outlined their ambitions for the new marketing season. Between professionalization and pest control, the objective is clear: to secure exports and ensure sustainable income.

A 2025 review under the sign of resilience

The organization's president, Nembelessini-Silué Pascal , praised the collective efforts that bore fruit last year. The major point of satisfaction lies in the control of the health situation:

  1. Drop in interceptions: The number of shipments blocked at borders fell from 32 to 12 in one year.
  2. European challenge: Although significant, this progress must continue to meet the strict target of fewer than 5 interceptions per year imposed by the European market.

The pillars of the 2026 strategy

For the coming fiscal year, Inter-Mangue is counting on an ambitious budget of 1,686,146,750 FCFA . This financing plan relies on three main levers:

  1. Export growth: A forecast of 45,000 tonnes , representing a 12.3% increase compared to 2025.
  2. Financial autonomy: The implementation of Mandatory Voluntary Contributions (CVO) to create a sustainable financing mechanism less dependent on external aid.
  3. Orchard protection: Widespread treatment against fruit flies, supported by PCCET and residual funds from the PURGA program.

A united front against the risk of embargo

The threat of an export ban to Europe still looms if sanitary quality is not impeccable. To avoid this catastrophic scenario, Inter-Mangue is calling for total mobilization.

"Success depends on the involvement of everyone: producers, exporters, processors, but also technical partners such as CNRA, 2PAI-NORD and PADFA," stressed the chairman of the board.

By consolidating its governance and securing its budget, the Ivorian mango sector is giving itself the means to achieve its ambitions to make 2026 a record year, both in volume and quality.
