Odienné : Le budget 2026 en forte hausse (+41,5%), s'élève à 1,79 milliard FCFA pour un développement accéléré
Odienné, Ivory Coast – The municipality of Odienné has taken a major step in its development trajectory. During the 4th meeting of the municipal council, held on November 7, 2025, the council unanimously adopted the initial budget for the 2026 fiscal year, showing a record amount of 1,793,518,000 FCFA .
This budget marks a spectacular growth of 41.5% , representing an increase of 526,038,000 FCFA compared to the previous year. The allocation of funds emphasizes investment:
The mayor of the municipality, Nassénéba Touré , attributed this significant increase to better mobilization of own revenues , an increase in state subsidies and the continuation of 11 major projects launched in 2025.
This new budget framework is intended to tangibly improve the lives of Odienné residents. The mayor emphasized that the resources will allow for:
Ms. Touré also made a solemn appeal to the entire population to maintain and consolidate the dynamic of peace, fraternity and cohesion essential to inclusive and sustainable development.
The session provided an opportunity to bring together various stakeholders in the city – community leaders, religious guides, and representatives of associations – around the challenges of local development.
The prefect, René Famy Kouamé , congratulated the municipal council for its remarkable work and encouraged a strengthening of collaboration with the administration to guarantee the achievement of the ambitious objectives set for 2026.
