New developments are coming to student placement in Côte d'Ivoire. The Director of Guidance and Scholarships (DOB), Ségali Yéwé Stéphane, unveiled on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the schedule and major reforms for online placements for students in the first two years of secondary school (6ème and Seconde). The plan includes adjusted schedules to avoid server overload, enhanced inclusion, and a relentless fight against fraud.

1. No more late nights: We'll be starting at noon!

This is the major revolution of this session: the platform's opening time, traditionally set at midnight (11:59 PM), has been officially moved to 12:00 PM . This decision aims to decongest the system and offer parents a much more relaxed and less stressful access.

2. The official schedule of operations

1. Entry into 6th grade (Admitted to the CEPE): From Saturday, July 11th to Monday, July 27th, 2026. The process will still be done in points brackets.
2. Entry into 2nd year: From Tuesday, July 14th to Monday, July 27th, 2026. Preferences (series and establishments) are made by SMS to 9991 or directly on the website www.ersys-ci.net .

3. Greater fairness and a clear direction for science

1. Social inclusion: Absolute priority is given to visually and hearing impaired students. These students may be assigned at any time, regardless of the usual point system.
2. Priority given to science programs: The DOB strongly encourages students who have achieved an average of at least 15/20 in mathematics and physics to apply for the second year of technical studies (T1 or T2). The director specifically highlighted the modernization of equipment at the technical high schools in Abidjan and Bouaké.
3. Excellence institutions: For elite high schools (such as Lycée Sainte-Marie de Cocody or Lycée d'Excellence Alassane Ouattara), the criteria remain very selective, requiring a Weighted General Total (TGP) equal to or greater than 160 points .

4. Zero tolerance for fraud

The ministry is cracking down on "wild assignments," these fraudulent practices orchestrated by certain private institutions with the complicity of third parties.

"The ministry formally prohibits this practice, which constitutes an abuse," Mr. Yéwé Stéphane emphasized.
