Amin Ariane Manuela : première femme Ivoirienne agrégée en économie et pionnière de la recherche climatique

On November 20, 2025, Ivorian economist Amin Ariane Manuela made academic history by becoming the first Ivorian woman to be agrégé in economic sciences , during the 22nd Agrégation Competition held in Dakar.

A professor at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University (UFRSEG) and an associate researcher at the Swiss Center for Scientific Research in Côte d'Ivoire, she is recognized for her work on climate change, biodiversity, and social inclusion. Her studies focus in particular on the vulnerability of agricultural systems and local adaptation.

As a mentor in the AWARD (African Women in Agricultural Research and Development) project, she also plays an active role in promoting women researchers in Africa. Her career embodies intellectual achievement and a commitment to sustainable development.

This accreditation does not just celebrate a personal achievement. It is a strong signal for Côte d'Ivoire and Africa: a woman can reach the highest levels of academic recognition in a field as demanding as economics.

Amin Ariane Manuela's journey is inspiring: she proves that talent, hard work, and a passion for science can break down barriers long perceived as insurmountable. For many young Ivorian women, she embodies a model of success and commitment to sustainable development.
