Despite a slight dip compared to last year, the results of the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEPE) for the 2026 session remain very encouraging. This was the key message conveyed by Diarra Kadidiata Badji, Director of Examinations and Competitions (DECO), on Monday, June 1, 2026, during the official announcement of the results at the institution's headquarters in Abidjan-Plateau.

"Performances remain satisfactory and demonstrate the appreciable level of our education system, despite a 'slight decline' in the national success rate," reassured the director of the DECO.

Key figures for the 2026 session

The examination took place in 2,763 centers spread across all 345 Preschool and Primary Education Inspectorates (IEPP).

1. Candidates who took the exam: 597,171
2. Candidates admitted (85 points and above): 512,106
3. National success rate: 85.76%

Compared with the 2025 session, which had a rate of 86.58% , the 2026 vintage records a minor decrease of 0.82 points .

Performance by gender: Girls in the lead

Analysis of the results by gender shows a slight advantage for female candidates:

1. Girls: 257,976 admitted out of 298,135 candidates, representing a rate of 86.53% .
2. Boys: 254,130 admitted out of 299,036 candidates, i.e. a rate of 84.98% .
