Good news for aspiring teachers in Ivory Coast. To address the shortage of staff in certain key subjects, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the opening of the direct entrance examination for the Higher Teacher Training College (ENS) for the 2026 session.

Disciplines involved

The recruitment targets future middle school teachers in a wide range of specializations:

Arts and Humanities: Modern Literature, English, Spanish, History-Geography, Education in Human Rights and Citizenship (EDHC).
Science and Technology: Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life and Earth Sciences (SVT), Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Sport: Physical Education and Sport (PES).

A closer look at scientific profiles (New for 2026)

Particular attention is paid to students with scientific backgrounds. This year, a pathway is maintained for Economics students wishing to teach mathematics.

General application requirements

To apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Nationality: Must be of Ivorian nationality.
Age: Limit set according to date of birth (after December 31, 1988 for the profiles mentioned).
File: Provide a complete file including about ten supporting documents (birth certificates, diplomas, certificates, etc.).
