Côte d’Ivoire-USA : Vers une synergie universitaire pour booster l’employabilité des jeunes

On an official mission to the United States, Dr. Eugène Aka Aouélé, President of CESEC, met on April 23 with Dr. Adela de la Torre, President of San Diego State University (SDSU). Accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Aka Aouélé explored the potential of the American model to enhance the professional integration of Ivorian students.

Key points of cooperation:

Public-private partnership: The SDSU model is based on close collaboration where companies participate in the financing and evaluation of student projects.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Dr. De la Torre reaffirmed her commitment to developing joint programs focused on the creation of economic activities by graduates.
Future challenges: Professor Arsène Toka Kobéa (MESRS) emphasized the importance of university research in addressing demographic challenges, particularly resource management for an Ivorian population estimated at 65 million inhabitants within 30 years.

This mission is part of President Alassane Ouattara's vision to transform Ivorian higher education into a true engine of the productive economy.
