Germaine Boni parmi les 384 certifiés de l'Université des Droits de l'Homme du CNDH
On November 28, 2025, the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) awarded certificates to the 384 participants of the 5th and 16th cohorts of its training program, the "University of Human Rights" (UDDH). The ceremony took place in the auditorium of the Cocody Police Academy.
Among the recipients, Germaine Boni , editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper Fraternité Matin, received her certification in Women's Rights (5th graduating class). The other participants were from the 16th graduating class in International Human Rights Law (IHRL).
The president of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), Namizata Sangaré , emphasized that the participants were able to "deepen" their knowledge of the instruments and mechanisms for protecting human rights, particularly those of women. This cohort comprised professionals from various fields, including doctors, journalists, court clerks, bankers, and members of the security forces.
Namizata Sangaré emphasized the "real success" of the Uddh, established on February 1, 2018, which has already benefited 4,140 people . She also noted a growing interest in upcoming sessions.
The president wished to thank the national and international organizations that make their trainers available to the Uddh.
Special guest at the ceremony, Nanan Amon Désiré Tanoé , president of the National Chamber of Kings and Traditional Chiefs of Côte d'Ivoire (Cnrct), stressed the importance of mastering human rights for social stability, particularly in the face of conflicts and disinformation.
Addressing the newly certified individuals, he declared: “Beyond knowledge, it is a calling you have received. You are now scouts in areas of social fragility … You are, finally, peacemakers.” He praised the existence of the UDDH as proof of Côte d'Ivoire's remarkable progress in promoting human rights.
The auditors' delegates, Sémien France Adélaïde Ghislaine (Human Rights) and Tadesse Sammy Joyce Amenan (Women's Rights), expressed their gratitude to the CNDH for this training opportunity.
