La Fondation AVSI dévoile les résultats majeurs de son projet de réhabilitation de 22 écoles
AVSI, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and with the support of Eni, presented the successes of a three-year program (2022-2025) aimed at transforming education for more than 16,000 students.
The AVSI Foundation organized a feedback workshop on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Port-Bouët. The objective of this meeting was to present, in a transparent and participatory manner, the impressive results obtained within the framework of its school rehabilitation project.
This ambitious program covered a three-year period (2022-2025) and had a direct impact on more than 16,000 students . The major advances were structured around three fundamental pillars: infrastructure rehabilitation, teacher capacity building, and support for families.
The initiative has enabled the complete rehabilitation of 22 public schools , providing greatly improved access to quality education in the Port-Bouët and Sud-Comoé regions.
The concrete actions taken have transformed the school environment:
These renovations have made the schools safer and better suited to students' needs. Mr. Bamba Lassiné, representative of the AVSI Foundation, emphasized the importance of this comprehensive approach:
"By rehabilitating schools and equipping students, we want to strengthen their confidence and resilience to enable them to achieve better results."
The most compelling aspect of the project lies in the improvement of academic results and educational support:
| Performance Indicator | Preliminary Draft | After Project (2025) | Improvement |
| Academic Success Rate | 57% | 78.7% | +21.7 points |
| School Dropout Rate | 3% | 1% | -2 points |
| Visits from Educational Advisors | 39% (in 2023) | 83.7% | +44.7 points |
This progress was made possible by strengthening teachers' skills through targeted training in differentiated pedagogy and student monitoring.
Ms. Kacou Anastasie, Deputy Chief of Staff at the Ministry of National Education, praised the quality of the collaboration:
"Thanks to your expertise and close collaboration with schools, teachers, and communities, we have been able to improve learning and the quality of education."
AVSI (active in Côte d'Ivoire since 2008) and Eni (present since 2015) reaffirm their conviction that access to quality education is the key to inclusive and sustainable development . Their partnership aims to invest in human capital by effectively combining infrastructure, teacher training, and student support.
The supervisors and students, all witnesses to the benefits of the project, unanimously advocated for this initiative to continue and enter a second phase .
